You can reach HVAC.Accountant three ways: call, text or email. Our hours are Monday to Friday, 9 to 6 Pacific, and we usually reply within one business day. The phone number and email address are in the buttons on this page and in the bar at the bottom of your screen on a phone.
We work with HVAC owners in every province and territory, meeting by video call or in person and working by phone, text and email. We are not accountants and not an HVAC contractor, so please send bookkeeping, tax and equipment questions to your CPA and your own team; everything about KPIs and profit is welcome here.
What happens next
You reach out
Call, text or email with a line about your business.
We reply
Usually within one business day, on the channel you chose.
You talk to a senior strategist
A focused conversation about your goals, market and numbers.
What to include in your first message
The more specific your first message, the more useful the first conversation. You do not need exact figures; round numbers are fine. If you have them, include:
- Company size: number of field technicians and install crews.
- Last year's revenue, roughly, and the split between replacements, repairs and maintenance if you know it.
- Agreement members: how many, and what the plan costs.
- Monthly marketing spend, including agency fees.
- Your biggest worry, in one sentence: margin, cash in spring, technician productivity, marketing cost or something else.
- Your software: the field-service and accounting tools you use, so we know what exports to ask for.
A message template you can copy
Fill in the brackets and send it by text or email:
Hi, this is [Your name] from [Business name] in [City, Province]. We run [number] technicians and [number] install crews, and did roughly [$ revenue] last year. We have about [number] plan members at [$ plan price]. We spend around [$ per month] on marketing. My main concern is [one sentence]. We use [software names]. Best time to call is [day and time].
That is enough for us to prepare for a first call.
What happens next
The sequence is the same for every owner:
- We reply, usually within one business day, to arrange a phone call at a time that suits you.
- First call, about 30 minutes. We go through your numbers, tell you which KPIs we would look at first and what exports we would need. If we are not the right fit, we say so.
- Written proposal. For KPI coaching, the scope, timeline and price are quoted in writing. For marketing, the published HVAC.Agency plans on our pricing page apply, starting with a 7-day free trial.
- First dashboard. Once you agree and send exports, we build your first owner dashboard and walk you through it.
Before you get in touch
If you would like to arrive with a sharper picture, two free guides are a good use of an evening:
- The monthly owner dashboard checklist lists every line and how to calculate it.
- The HVAC cash-flow calendar helps you sketch your seasonal cash pattern from bank statements.
You can also browse the services overview to see which area fits your worry.
If you are comparing options
Some owners contact us while also talking to a bookkeeper, a CPA or a marketing agency. That is sensible, and we are happy to explain where our work stops and theirs begins. A good rule: anything that needs a professional accounting designation, a tax filing or a signed statement goes to your CPA; anything about which operating numbers to watch each month, and what to do when they move, is ours.
About privacy
We only collect what you choose to send us by phone, text or email, and we use it to reply and to do the work you ask for. We only email people who have contacted us first. Our privacy page has the details.
Who you will talk to
HVAC.Accountant is led by Ali Sedighi, MBA, from Vancouver, British Columbia, as part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group. Read more on the about page. Call, text or email when you are ready.
Frequently asked questions
Should I send financial statements?
Not at first. Operating numbers are more useful to us: revenue by job type, paid technician hours, agreement count, marketing spend and bank balance. If you choose to share statements later, we read them only to check that the dashboard totals agree.
Is what I send kept confidential?
Yes. We use your numbers only to prepare your dashboard and our conversations with you, and we do not share them without your permission.
Can I text instead of calling?
Yes. Text the same number. Many owners find it easier to send a short text from the truck and arrange a call later.
What if I just have one question?
Ask it. Plenty of first contacts are a single question about a KPI or a calculation, and a short answer is fine.
